When to eat worm medicine?
Worms are very small in size. Almost invisible. But you will be surprised to know that such a worm absorbs 0.2 milliliters of blood from the human intestine a day. If there are many worms in the body, a considerable amount of blood is lost every day. As a result, children suffer from malnutrition and anemia. Adults do not suffer less.
Apart from this, worms can cause allergies, itchy skin, dry cough, breathing problems. Sometimes worms get stuck in the intestinal or gallbladder ducts and cause major complications. Worm infections are therefore a major health problem.
To remove worms, first need to know why it happens? Dirty environment, drinking unsafe water, unhealthy diet, walking barefoot are responsible for worm infestation.
Worms can be treated with medication. But many people do not take worm medicine due to fear of various misconceptions. Don't want to feed the children either. But if the medicine is taken according to the rules and some simple methods are followed, the worms can be easily removed.
Let's find out some simple ways:
1. A family member can take one albendazole pill every three months. Mebendazole should be taken three days in a row. Another dose can be taken after seven days. Children should also be fed syrup in the same way. Consult a doctor before feeding to a child under two years of age.
2. The common idea that eating sugar or sweets will cause worms is not true. Worms have nothing to do with eating sweets or sugar. Rather, worms will be eaten with dirty hands or unsanitary food.
3. If there is a worm, children touch the anus because it itches. Then put that hand in the mouth again. This is how the infection spreads. However, anal itching may not necessarily mean a worm infection. Worm infection has other symptoms. For example: not gaining weight, flatulence, belching, dysentery, malnutrition, anemia etc.
4. There is no basis for the idea that deworming should not be done in summer. Deworming can be consumed at any time, summer, winter, monsoon. But it is better to eat after eating or on a full stomach.
